Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-02

By using Vid2MP3 (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We try to keep this short and human-readable.

1. The Service

Vid2MP3 provides a free, browser-based tool for converting video files and public video links into MP3 audio or MP4 video files, plus editorial reference content about audio/video formats and the legality of personal-use video downloads.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Convert or download content you do not have the right to convert or download under applicable copyright law in your jurisdiction.
  • Circumvent technical protection measures (DRM) on copyrighted works.
  • Build derivative or commercial services that re-host or rebrand our converter.
  • Submit automated traffic, scrape the site, or attempt to overload our infrastructure. We rate-limit and may block abusive IP ranges.

You are solely responsible for what you convert. Where the legal status of your use is unclear, please review our legal hub and, if necessary, consult a lawyer.

3. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Conversions may occasionally fail due to source-platform changes, network issues, or capacity limits.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vid2MP3 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our maximum aggregate liability to you for direct damages is limited to USD 100.

5. Intellectual property

Editorial content on this site (guides, comparisons, reviews) is © Vid2MP3 and made available under the terms of CC BY-NC 4.0 for non-commercial reuse with attribution. Output files produced by the converter are owned by the original copyright holder of the source material; we make no claim to them.

6. DMCA

For copyright takedown requests please follow the procedure on our DMCA page.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date and called out on the homepage where appropriate.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
