DMCA Policy

Vid2MP3 respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond to valid takedown notices within two business days.

What we can take down

We do not host video content. The converter writes a short-lived output file that is automatically deleted from our servers within 15 minutes. As a result, takedown of specific output files is rarely necessary — they are gone before most notices arrive.

What we can do, on receipt of a valid notice, is:

  • Block the affected source URL or URL pattern from being processed by the converter.
  • Add the source domain to our converter blocklist where the rights-holder has provided clear authority.
  • Remove editorial content that infringes copyright.

Submitting a notice

To submit a DMCA notice, send the following to [email protected]:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  3. Identification of the material to be removed or blocked, with enough detail (URL, screenshot) to allow us to locate it.
  4. Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email address).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-notices

If material you submitted (or that relates to your work) was removed under a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with the elements specified in 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

Repeat-infringer policy

We will block source URL patterns or domains that are subject to repeated, valid takedown notices, and we may permanently disable specific source platforms from the converter where the volume of valid notices warrants it.
